Machine operator (earthworks) • Belmont County, Ohio

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Belmont County, Ohio. You will be based on a housing development site. What we are looking for: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) Day to day you will backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
