Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales. On a typical shift you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
