Urgent requirement: we are hiring a butcher in Crowley County, Colorado. Ideal candidate: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Season and marinate meat on request • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Part-time with flexible hours.
