Laundry presser • Richmond County, New York

We are recruiting: we are hiring a laundry presser in Richmond County, New York. You will work in a busy laundry. You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day to day you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; give each garment a final press before packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
