Machinist — Cheshire East

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Cheshire East, England. You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams On the job you will handle: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around £13 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
