Now hiring: we are hiring a protective coatings painter in Borough of Tameside, England. The job is in a paint and spray workshop. Day to day you will strip old paint and wallpaper with scrapers and heat guns; spray emulsion and enamel using HVLP and airless spray guns; fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps; lay down dust sheets and protect floors and furniture; mix and tint paint to match colour swatches. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Skilled with brush, roller and spray application • Comfortable working at height on ladders and scaffolding Six days a week, one day off.
