Foundry operative wanted in East Riding of Yorkshire

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. On a typical shift you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards We offer £18 per hour plus benefits.
