Sheet metal welder — Manchester

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Manchester, England. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
