Argon welder wanted in Herkimer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Herkimer County, New York. You will be based on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Meals and transport allowance provided.
