Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Southend-on-Sea, England. Day-to-day duties: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm What we are looking for: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
