Heavy equipment operator — McCreary County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in McCreary County, Kentucky. You will work on an earthmoving and excavation site. Day to day you will break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; check for underground cables and services before digging. Requirements: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
