Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Inyo County, California. Your main tasks: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Ideal candidate: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
