On a typical shift you will punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. You should have: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading Rotating shifts.
