Mason's helper — Putnam County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a mason's helper in Putnam County, Illinois. You will work on a residential housing site. On the job you will handle: • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer Ideal candidate: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Physically fit and comfortable working at height At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
