Tyre technician — Sitka City and Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tyre technician in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will work at a car service centre. On a typical shift you will carry out wheel alignment and adjust camber and toe; keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres; repair punctures with mushroom plugs and internal patches; jack up vehicles safely and set them on axle stands; inflate tyres to the manufacturer's recommended PSI, including nitrogen fills; check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear. What we are looking for: • Confident operating a tyre changer and wheel balancer • 1+ years' experience fitting and balancing tyres • Comfortable working outdoors and in all weathers At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
