Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Full-time, day shift.
