Milling machinist — Rock Island County

Join our team: we are hiring a milling machinist in Rock Island County, Illinois. The job is in a die and mould making unit. Day to day you will set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Pay around $31 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
