The role involves braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; clean condenser and evaporator coils; install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets; recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture. Ideal candidate: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends.
