Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Lauderdale County, Tennessee. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day to day you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
