Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Roanoke County, Virginia. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
