Garment machinist — Kossuth County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Kossuth County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
