Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Whitley County, Indiana. The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 3+ years on the tools preferred.
