Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Mason County, Michigan. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
