Your main tasks: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits.
