Immediate opening: hoist operator (Hawaii)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hoist operator in Kauai County, Hawaii. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. What we are looking for: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Current medical and eyesight certificate Your main tasks: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
