Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Wise County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Wise County, Virginia. You will work at a manufacturing plant. The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
