Immediate opening: production line operator (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a production line operator in East Lothian, Scotland. You will work at an auto-parts workshop. What we are looking for: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills The role involves: • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Set up and start the machine as per the job card Rotating shifts.
