Heavy equipment operator wanted in Somerset

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Somerset, England. You will be based at a plant hire yard. Your main tasks: • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines Requirements: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
