Groundskeeper — Borough of Oldham

Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Borough of Oldham, England. You will be based at a plant nursery. The role involves: • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting 5+ years on the tools preferred.
