Join our team: tig welder (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Fremont County, Iowa. The job is on an industrial construction site. The role involves feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience.
