Counter butcher — Boundary County

Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Boundary County, Idaho. You will work in a meat processing plant. Your main tasks: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $10,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
