Vacancy available: we are hiring a retail butcher in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a wholesale meat market. Day to day you will take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; season and marinate meat on request; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience.
