Now hiring: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Dickenson County, Virginia. You will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding 5+ years on the tools preferred.
