You should have: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Day-to-day duties: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
