Immediate opening: refrigeration installation technician (Kansas)

Join our team: we are hiring a refrigeration installation technician in Decatur County, Kansas. You will be based at a food processing plant. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Valid driving licence for field call-outs • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade Day-to-day duties: • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch 4+ years on the tools preferred.
