Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Jackson County, Kansas. Your main tasks: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections Requirements: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
