Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane rigger in Alexander County, Illinois. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position 4+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
