Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in McPherson County, South Dakota. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 2+ years on the tools preferred.
