Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. You will be based in a residential housing project. Your main tasks: • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab What we are looking for: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience.
