Requirements: • Valid driving licence for field call-outs • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade On a typical shift you will measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves; install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets; fault-find control boards and defrost timers; trace electrical circuits with a multimeter; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil.
