Tig welder — Shinkafi

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Shinkafi, Zamfara State. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
