Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GTAW welder in LaSalle Parish, Louisiana. Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Part-time with flexible hours. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
