Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Fayette County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
