Head butcher wanted in Gilliam County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head butcher in Gilliam County, Oregon. The job is in a meat processing plant. The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler 5+ years on the tools preferred. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
