Metal caster wanted in Aransas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Aransas County, Texas. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
