GMAW welder — Illela

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Illela, Sokoto State. You will be based on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings 5+ years on the tools preferred.
