Press machine operator — Sussex County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a press machine operator in Sussex County, Virginia. You will work at a busy press shop. On the job you will handle: • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor Ideal candidate: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses 6+ years on the tools preferred.
