MIG welder • Saint James Parish, Louisiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG welder in Saint James Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. You should have: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
