Vacancy available: we are hiring a general labourer in Crawford County, Iowa. You will work with a civil contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations What we are looking for: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites Part-time with flexible hours.
