Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Wayne County, Illinois. You will be based on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; grind back and re-weld any defective runs.
